The dreaded lurgy

I'm too sick to blog properly, but luckily not too sick to knit and watch many episodes of Dexter on dvd.

Knitting on my Hemlock Ring Blanket, my Princess Lace shawl, a Mason Dixon baby kimono for brand new Molly, and a secret project.

This is the first time I can ever remember needing a whole week off work for a darned flu-ey, cold-y sort of lurgy. Doc says plenty of fluids and plenty of hand washing should do it. I'm still waiting for it to work. It's yuk being sick.

LOVE Dexter. Watched a whole season in four days while on holidays. Couldn't get enough.

Hope you feel better soon! Enjoy the down time.

I hope you're feeling better soon too! Sounds like you're getting a lot of (enjoyable) resting in though. :)

I've yet to start watching Dexter, but I've been told by a few people now that it's good. Still got the rest of Buffy and then Spooks to go!

It sucks to be sick! Follow my mother's advice - don't go outside once the sun dips. SHe must be right - whenever I got out at night with a cold, I end up with bronchitis.

Hope you feel better soon!

Oooh, I so loove Dexter. I have the seen series one and two, and read the first 3 books. Don't like the storyline of book 3, but have the tv themesong as my ringtone. Just wish that it didn't stop before the egg cracking bit - that is my favourite bit.

Hi, have found your blog through your Ravelry site. Am a fellow Travel Tea Box knitter and am posting it to you this arvo. Hope you enjoy all the goodies in it;)
Am an American living in Dapto NSW and loved seeing your fotos of the 'ol US and its wonderful landscapes.
We were back over Xmas visiting my family in Georgia and Maine. Love the place but Oz is home for us since my husband wants to stay here...he's an Aussie boy.
Hope you're feeling better.
Sounds like you have the perfect healing passtime: the much loved, gorey'esque Dexter episodes. Gosh, wish I had the latest ones as its gone off the local TV and I'm not good at keeping up with the TV schedules. Oh well.
warm regards,
